Mealtime Program

The Mealtime program is an important part of our day. Our students have 1:1 assistance or eat in a small group. A student’s independent mealtime profile is designed using the expertise of our therapist team that ensure a safe, competent delivery of mealtime assistance with adequate nutrition and hydration.

The Mealtime Program incorporates the use of real situations to engage students in active learning in the areas of communication, functional hand skills, appropriate behaviours, independence, oral motor skills, hygiene and eating/drinking skills, whilst ensuring that all students receive their meal in a safe and dignified manner.
